94-96. Barrel Sample. One of three properties owned by the Barton family, this has become an estate with a great personality, no longer in the shadow of Léoville-Barton. This latest vintage shows both great structure and layers of black fruits. It has a perfumed style that brings complex ripeness and, obviously, a fine potential. Score – 95.
