Château Tour des Termes 2020

The tannins grip on pretty tight from the first moment, with wild hedgerow, baked earth, rose petal and raspberry leaf flavours. As it opens up, sweet black cherry and cassis fruits arrive and there are touches of bitter coffee grounds on the finish but this has nuance and personality. Contains all four classic Médoc varieties – the two Cabernets, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Drinking window: 2023-2036. Score – 91. (Jane Anson, decanter.com)
