Clos l’Église 2021

The 2021 Clos l’Eglise is a dense, powerful Pomerol. There’s real energy driving the red/purplish fruit, lavender and spice. Far from an easygoing Pomerol, Clos l’Eglise is going to need time to be at its best, but there’s no rush. The 2021 is a bit compact, and yet all the elements are there for it to develop into a very fine, compelling wine. Drinking Window: 2029-2046. Score – 92-95. (Antonio Galloni, vinous.com)
