Clos St. Michael M M Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2022

A serious, brooding, herbal style. Smooth, approachable, medium-bodied. Tannins are well buffed, slightly powdery. The acidity is in balance, as is the alcohol. Mouvedre makes itself known with a little animal note and a certain density, which should add to the ageing potential. Fermented and aged in concrete only. Drinking window: 2028-2041. Score – 93.
