Col d’Orcia Poggio al Vento Riserva Brunello di Montalcino (Magnum) 1990

Bright amber-red. Despite the rather evolved color, the nose is brooding and still closed, revealing captivating aromas of red cherry, raspberry, minerals, and brown spices with aeration. Big, broad, ripe and sweet on the palate, boasting a lovely lush texture and impressive fullness to its red cherry, peach, vanilla, cinnamon and mineral flavors. The very long finish features broad, polished, building tannins and noteworthy sweetness. Aged for 63 months in large oak casks, this is a very great wine. Score – 97.
