Delas Frères Les Challeys Saint-Joseph 2020

Inky garnet. Deeply pitched dark fruit, floral and smoky mineral scents show fine definition and suggestions of olive paste and black pepper. Sappy and broad in the mouth, offering well-concentrated boysenberry, blackberry, licorice and violet pastille flavors that turn more lively and sweeter with air. Shows richness as well as energy and finishes long and pliant, with rounded tannins and lingering florality. Score – 91-92. (Josh Raynolds, vinous.com, Dec. 2022)
