Domaine de Bellene Aux Chaignots Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru 2022

From a tiny plot planted in 1998, this shows a gorgeous, perfumed nose of blackcurrant, boxwood, violet, wood spice, vanillin and minerality. It is medium bodied, edging to full bodied, which is rare in Burgundy. All kinds of power, sinewy tannin and internal combustion here, with a very mineral finish.
