Domaine de Bellene Hommage à Jean Ferté Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru 2024

From two premier cru parcels planted in 1974 and 1993, the 2022 ‘Hommage’ Savigny pours a notably deep colour and delivers a pure and red cherry-flavoured wine in the village style, here bold, plush and generously proportioned. I find the back end drops off quicker than expected, and the structure indicates a wine for more early enjoyment, almost ready to go even now, though pleasure is high. Best 2025-2030.
