Bottled just a month prior to my September 2021 visit, the 2019 Saint Joseph Izeras, from vines planted in 1965, features scents of black cherries, black olives and hints of vanilla. It’s full-bodied, round and fleshy on the palate, with a long, silky finish. Already drinking well, it should easily last through the end of the decade. Drink date: 2022-2030. Score – 93.
