The rich, velvety 2017 L’Edre offers up hints of crushed stone and pencil shavings and layers of ripe, dark fruit. A blend of 60% Syrah, 25% Grenache, 10% Carignan and 5% Mourvèdre, all matured 18 months in second use Bordeaux barrels, it’s full-bodied and plush, verging on creamy in texture, yet it has tremendous fruit presence and a long, elegant finish. Drink date: 2019-2028. Score – 94. (Joe Czerwinski, robertparker.com, April 30, 2019)
