Up with some of the top wines in the vintage, the 2015 Cotes du Roussillon Villages Latour de France Les Cimes is a blend of mostly Syrah and Grenache, with 20% Carignan and 5% Mourvèdre that was brought up in 25% new 500-liter barrels. It offers terrific notes of black raspberries, cassis, graphite, licorice and pepper, as well as full-bodied richness, a fresh, elegant texture and a great finish. It doesn’t come cheap (nor should it), but it’s a terrific wine. Score – 92-94. (robertparker.com, April 28, 2017)
