Domaine Gouron Chinon 2020

This is a very fine example of chinon and from a very good vintage. Made, of course, entirely of cabernet franc, it shows solid and complex aromatics that introduce a palate where classic cabernet franc flavours are well layered and delicious. The acid is perfectly calibrated to the fruit and the tannins are well integrated. It’s drinking very well now and will easily hold to the mid/late 2020s. Score – 92. (Rod Phillips, undated)
