Subtle but not invisible oak easily allows the liqueur-like black cherry, spice, lavender and a whisper of dried mandarin orange peel to be appreciated. There is excellent density to the sleekly muscular and mineral-driven flavors that possess an even finer mouth feel while delivering notably better depth and length on the powerful and built-to-age finale. This is absolutely going to require extended patience but it should very much be worth the wait. Drink: 2030+. Sweet spot. Outstanding. Score – 92-94. (Allen Meadows, burghound.com, April 15, 2017)
