This is Rugiens Bas, and it is as impressive as ever. The nose has a grandstanding character: floral tones are accompanied by blackcurrants and savory spices. Interestingly, the skeleton is graceful rather than big boned. The tannins are precise, integrated and flowing. Brilliant harmony and splendidly long finish. [Drink 2028-2043+.] Score – 95.
