The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Lavaux Saint-Jacques 1er Cru has a little funk on the nose that quickly dissipates, revealing a marine/oyster shell-influenced bouquet that unfolds pleasingly in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins, edgy and nicely detailed. There is plenty of tension and terroir expression on the finish that is just pure Pinoté. This is very promising a really elegant and winsome wine. Drinking window: 2027-2050. Score – 93-95. (Neal Martin, vinous.com, Jan. 11, 2024)
