Emiliana Winemaker’s Selection Syrah 2011

Coastal syrahs in Chile tend to be dominated by spicy and meaty flavors, which is fine, as long as they are not overbearing. Some are, some are not, as is the case with this syrah from the Casablanca Valley that opens with aromas of black olives, but soon turns to red fruits amid juicy, refreshing acidity.
