The 2021 vintage was a challenging one for Piedmont, with frost and hail in the early months but a hot, dry summer, resulting in lower yields of intense concentration. Barbaresco and Barolo are already showing stunning prominence and excellent ageing potential along with their notes of sour cherry, Italian leather, tobacco and rosehip.
