Felton Road Cornish Point Pinot Noir 2023

There’s a sensual, heady aspect to the aromas on display this year. A little exotic soukiness to the spice profile with hints of dried rose petals, cold tea, meadow wildflowers, sandalwood, drying herbs, distant dried game meats and leaf litter and cocoa-powder suffusing through the ripe red and black cherry and dried raspberry/cranberry fruit tones. Wonderfully weighted and balanced just so with the purest of fruit profiles, a superfine, pillowy cloud of tannin and a bright mineral line. It makes for beautiful drinking now and there is plenty of space for cellaring complexity. Drink from: 2024. Drink by: 2038. Special Value. Score – 97.
