Fontanafredda La Rosa Barolo 2017

Rose, forest berry, dark spice and crushed mint aromas shape the nose on this fragrant red. The full-bodied, delicious palate features juicy Marasca cherry, strawberry compote and star anise alongside youthfully tight, fine-grained tannins. It closes on a white pepper note. It’s elegant but still young, so give it a few more years to fully integrate and develop. Drink 2025-2032. Score – 95. (Kerin O’Keefe, Wine Enthusiast, July 1, 2021)
