Product Details
This is no Peppermint Pattie but it comes close, bringing a now-distinctive LWSTL peppery elegance to the glass. Wild ferments can be unpredictable, but this is a mighty strong follow-up to 2020 with a similar high level of intensity: black pepper, acacia, five-spice, licorice, black fruits and spice rolling long, clean and bright across the tongue. Tannins, supple and well-crafted, sit back in readiness for time in bottle – it can easily take 10 years – and they are girded for the journey. Drink from: 2024. Drink by: 2032. Special Value. Score – 95. (Jeni Port, winecompanion.com.au, Aug. 7, 2024)
