Greywacke Pinot Noir 2023

Deep, dark red colour with a good purple tint, the bouquet very strong on oak, spicy toasty barrels have been liberally employed. Well-ripened stems may be adding to this impression. The wine is lovely and soft in the mouth, the texture a winner. A concentrated wine, with abundant tannins adding great fleshy extract. The length is prodigious. I’d give it more time to swallow up that oak, then it’ll be even better. Drink date: 2023-2034. (Huon Hooke,therealreview.com,April 17, 2022)
