Guado al Tasso Matarocchio 2012

The 2012 Matarocchio shows just how magical Cabernet Franc can be in Bolgheri. Refined and silky in the glass, the 2012 is all finesse. Raspberry jam, wild flowers, mocha, dark spices, sage and mint open up in the glass, but the 2012 is an infant. Still, it is impossible not to admire the wine’s mid-weight, translucent personality and exceptional finesse. Drinking window: 2018-2032. Score – 97. (Antonio Galloni, vinous.com, Oct. 2015)
