Product Details
Mostly Grenache but with 10% Mourvèdre, the 2022 Gigondas comes all from the higher elevation parcels in the appellation and was brought up mostly in 500- and 600-liter barrels. Beautiful red and black fruit, sandalwood, savory garrigue, and some obvious chalky minerality all define the aromatics, and this beauty hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, a balanced, structured mouthfeel, and outstanding length. It will have a decade of prime drinking. Maturity: 2024-2034. (jebdunnuck.com,Oct 29, 2024)
