Haselgrove Protector Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

This is splendidly composed and classically expressed, showing cassis, spiced cherry, dried herb and cedar characters on the nose with a lovely floral overtone. It’s concentrated and brilliantly focused on the palate, delivering excellent weight and persistency. The wine offers terrific fruit purity combined with spicy complexity, finishing impressively long and elegantly dry. At its best: 2022 to 2034. Score – 95. (Sam Kim, wineorbit.co.nz, Jan. 2021)
