Heredad de Urueña Santo Terroir Tempranillo 2015

Made solely from tempranillo and aged 10 months in new French and American barrels, this is a delicious wine that has everything going for it. You’ll find the flavours rich (but not at all over the top) and layered, with excellent complexity and character. The acidity is perfectly tailored to the fruit and the tannins are well integrated. It’s holding its style impressively. Drinking very well now, it looks set to live a vibrant life to the mid-to-late-2020s. Score – 92. (Rod Phillips, undated)
