Locust Lane is the ‘home’ vineyard adjacent to the winery on Beamsville Bench, one of three sites the winery owns. This is an intriguing, edgy pinot not quite ready for prime time. Loved the lifted, fragrant spice, sour cherry, fresh mint, herbs and somewhat sappy nose. It’s medium weight, edgy and intense with very firm acidity from a vintage that may go down as one of best for Ontario pinot. It’s tannic and not yet showing much charm, but it is impressive. Wait for it! Best 2018 to 2023. Score – 92. (David Lawrason, winealign.com, July 15, 2016)
