Highgate Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Sweet cherry, blackberry perfume, hints of violets and mint. A dark element of earth and boot paste. Textural tannins, grainy or sandy and grippy, lots of minty freshness on the palate and tart black fruit. It’s quite energetic and with lively acidity. I like its energy. Beautifully varietal and not super-polished. No need. Good as is. Drink date: 2024-2031. Score – 91. (Kasia Sobiesiak, winefront.com.au, July 6, 2023)
