A small production, Cabernet-dominated blend that gives ripe red plum and black cherry flavours, tightly wound but wrapped in silky tannins – meaning this has a power to it but in a more accessible delivery. Confident and spiced with flavour and plenty of signature Inglenook balance. Named after the year Gustave Niebaum delivered the first vintage of his new Rutherford estate. 15% new French oak, the rest one-fill barrels both French and American. Drinking window: 2022-2036. Score – 91. (Jane Anson, decanter.com, Sept. 3, 2020)
