João Portugal Ramos Marquês de Borba Reserva 2019

The 2019 Marquês de Borba Reserva is a blend of approximately 35% Aragonez, 30% Alicante Bouschet, 20% Trincadeira and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon (there are minor adjustments every year), all aged for 18 months in new French oak. It comes in at 14.4% alcohol. Simply gorgeous, this is another super offering in this brand. Textured and concentrated, it maintains its elegance and freshness most of all. It adds character and expresses its grapes well. This is beautifully done, understated and graceful. It has a chance to improve further in the cellar. Drink date: 2023-2040. Score – 95.
