Kanonkop Pinotage 2020

Not too far behind Black Label in terms of quality – and it’s also a quarter of the price – this is a nuanced, beautifully expressed Pinotage from a master of the grape. Matured in 80% new oak, it displays liquorice, plum and black cherry flavours, subtle cinnamon and vanilla spices, plush tannins and supporting acidity. Drink date: 2023-2032. Score – 94.
