La Belle Marguerite The Wine Plan Malbec 2021

This malbec comes from two vineyards, half from a very old one planted more than 100 years ago in Medrano, and half from Rivadavia, a much younger, six-year-old vineyard. It was aged for a year in second- and third-use barrels and is a real surprise. A radiant, crisp, and refreshing wine with delicious red fruit and a subtle ethereal character that, first of all, is not easy to find in South American malbec, and even less so in the warm east of Mendoza, a place whose reds are rather rustic.
