Succulent and juicy with fleshy, filling tannins that are so enjoyable. Blueberries, raspberries, some cranberry crunch with lashings of wet stone, graphite, slate, iron tang and liquorice spice. Wonderfully forward and bright but keeping a relatively straightforward expresion. Defies the vintage, I really like this. Hints of seduction in the depth of flavour while keeping a firm grip from the start. Ageing 50% new oak barrels for 12-14 months. Drinking window: 2030-2048. (Georgina Hindle,decanter.com)
