Leyda Coastal Vineyard Canelo Syrah 2020

A deep, meaty syrah with lots of grilled herbs and cooking spices. Dense black cherries and a hint of nicely baked plums. Intense and concentrated on the palate with very fine-grained tannins. Deep, closely knit and pretty long. A serious syrah to enjoy now or hold [into the mid-2030s]. Fantastic value. Score – 94. (Zekun Shuai, jamessuckling.com, Feb. 3, 2023)
