Madame de Beaucaillou 2019

Here’s a lovely, ripe, creamy, solidly structured, full-bodied left bank Bordeaux, with very good to excellent length and depth. Blackcurrant/blackberry fruit, gravel and graphite mix with finely integrated and high quality oak. Tannins are abundant, but coated by serious fruit extract, and supported by properly succulent acids. It’s still several years away from prime drinking; try again after 2025, or hold into the ’30s without concern. Tasted October 2022. Score – 93. (John Szabo, MS, winealign.com)
