Mas d’en Gil Clos Fontà 2019

The 2019 Clos Fontà is a blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Carignan from Bellmunt del Priorat. Aged for 14 months in oak foudres, this dark garnet wine unfolds nuanced aromas of cherry, sour cherry, pomegranate and dried flowers, along with undergrowth, herbs and a faint cedar layer. Dry, rich and compact, it has a concentrated and chalky texture that develops into an intense, overwhelming mouthfeel. Fine-grained tannins lend balance as the 2019 lingers long on its fruit notes.
