The vineyard that gave rise to this wine is on the southern bank of the Maipo River in the Alto Maipo zone of Mariscal. One-third of the wine was aged in foudres and the rest in barrels, and the result is a delicious, juicy cabernet brimming with fruit and herbal tones. The cool conditions of the 2021 season has lent tension to this red and has especially instilled juiciness, fruity flavors, and depth. One of those cabernets that would be good to drink now with a meaty stew but that also has many years in the bottle ahead of it. Score – 94. (Patricio Tapia, guiadescorchados.cl, 2024)
