Mission Jewelstone Syrah 2021

Excellent colour and bouquet filled with richness and ripeness, plenty of berry fruit scents then smoky wood tones. Complex and youthful. On the palate a dry wine with a core of dark berries and plums, vanilla and clove, smoky wood and stony soils with a dark clay quality. Firm tannins and a backbone of acidity. Complex and lengthy, a wine still ageing with best drinking from 2028 through 2034+. Excellent. Score – 94. (Cameron Douglas, MS, camdouglasms.com, July 13, 2025)
