Penfolds Bin 138 Grenache/Shiraz/Mataro 2022

Deep purple colour and a fresh and intensely spicy aroma that channels eastern spices, pepper, earthy/savoury in styling, the finish pleasingly drying and appetising. Good balance and the fruit is doing all the work. (47% grenache, 43% shiraz, 10% mataro. 10 month in French oak, 21% new, and American oak hogsheads). Drink date: 2024-2037. Score – 93.
