Piazzano Ventoso Sangiovese 2022

Dark chocolate, ripe blackberries and plums with hints of cloves, vanilla and walnuts. Dense and compact with a full body and refined tannins. Ripe yet vivid with lovely freshness to the fruit. Long finish. A little chewy at the end. Try after 2025. Score – 92. (jamessuckling.com, Oct. 9, 2023)
