The second wine of this Pauillac fifth-growth is made from the estate’s young (20 years old) vineyards which border those of Châteaux Mouton-Rothschild, Lafite-Rothschild and Pontet-Canet to the north. It’s a forward, bold red with supple tannins, elegant oaking and bright acidity to balance the generous, inky dark berry fruit and spiced plum palate. Lovely youthful drinking now, or keep it a few more years. Drinking window: 2019-2026. Score – 92. (Tina Gellie, decanter.com, Oct. 8, 2019)
