Quinta de la Rosa Reserva Tinto 2022

The wine that used to be their estate red is now the 2022 Reserva Red, produced with Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz. It matured in French oak barrels, 40% of them new, for 12 months. It has rich aromas of ripe berry fruit and aromatic herbs, spices, toast and smoke and a medium- to full-bodied palate with abundant, fine-grained tannins. It’s a powerful Douro red with balance, contained ripeness and a moderate 13% alcohol. It has a touch of rusticity, tannins that call for food and some freshness for a vintage like 2022.
