Quintarelli Rosso Ca’ del Merlo 2016

This wine is a diverse blend of northern Italian grapes Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Nebbiolo and Croatina along with the French Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, plus a splash of Sangiovese for good measure. Half of the grapes were left to dry in the appassimento style, making for a complex blending of ripe and dried fruit flavours mixed with notes of sweet tobacco, camphor, dark chocolate, and baking spices. Drink until 2031.
