Remoissenet Les Lavières Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru 2018

There is enough wood and menthol influence to merit pointing out on the earthy aromas of plum, forest floor and anise. Like the Clos Rousseau, the palate impression of the medium-bodied flavors is sleek and delineated while delivering excellent length on the firm, serious and slightly warm finale. This will likely need at least a decade to reach its apogee and once there, it should live for a very long time. Drink: 2028+. Outstanding. Score – 91. (Allen Meadows, burghound.com, April 10, 2020)
