This Pinot hits all the Marlborough touchpoints, delivering a highly aromatic, flavourful wine with plentiful ripe fruit, but there’s something else here that many immediately engaging, boldly fruity Marlborough Pinots don’t reveal: an almost Burgundian sophistication. It’s a complex, toasty wine, with baking spice and vanilla underlying the cherry fruit. Expressive, balanced and very good. This will drink through the end of the decade.
