Product Details
The 2022 Pedregoso Carmenere was produced with grapes purchased from Peumo and Almahue in Cachapoal, the classical zone for the grape, transported and fermented in Limarí. This entry-level range is primary and fruit-driven, has marked varietal character and is clean and easy to drink – very good value for money. The Carmenere has to be peppery and spicy but not heavy. It has 14% alcohol and good freshness. This is one of their top-selling wines. It was bottled a couple of weeks before I tasted it, and the wine felt harmonious. Drink date: 2023-2026. Score – 91.
