This is one of the flagship wines from Sicily’s Tasca family. The Tasca Conti d’Almerita 2017 Sicilia Cabernet Sauvignon Tenuta Regaleali Vigna San Francesco shows terrific results in this hot vintage. The Cabernet Sauvignon grape is up to the challenge, and it successfully channels all that extra ripeness and intensity into the rich fiber and lasting mouthfeel of this hearty red wine. Most importantly, it remains balanced with plenty of variety-driven aromas of blackberry, rosemary and toasted spice. Drink date: 2021-2035. Score – 95.
