Tenuta della Luia Cilestro 2018

A 50:50 blend of sangiovese and cabernet sauvignon, aged 12 months in barriques, this wine is made only in selected years. It’s a full-bodied red with quite concentrated flavours showing a little spiciness. The fruit is well complemented by fresh, clean acidity, and the tannins are nicely integrated. This is a surprisingly versatile wine with food and it will drink well through to 2026. (Rod Phillips,Other,Jan. 11, 2021)
