The Prisoner Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Consistently bold, The Prisoner cabernet sauvignon is enhanced with small amounts of merlot, syrah, malbec, petite sirah, and charbono grapes which have been aged for 15 months in both old and new French and American barrels. Blousy but not sweet with very good concentration and nice bit of graphite and bitterness to lend dimension to the palate. A reasonably balanced vintage for this wine. Chill slightly to quell the heat. Best 2025-2030. Tasted July 2024. Score – 90. (Sara d’Amato, winealign.com)
