Legend suggests that Richard Bowyer Smith, who was a South Australian blacksmith and the inventor of the stump-jump plough (which allows ploughs to jump tree roots in difficult terrain), had poor eyesight, hence the optometrist chart on the label. This wine has a supple mouthfeel, with raspberry, plum, dark cherry, earth and savoury herbs. It will see its way clearly to drinking through 2025+.
