The blend here is two-thirds Merlot along with Syrah, Petite Sirah and splashes of other varieties, but the real story is that the wine is partially aged in rum barrels along with a mix of French and American oak. It’s a big, bold wine brimming with ripe red fruit, peppery spice and just a hint of rum. Pair with flank steak.
